Jim and Anne Weatherill co-authored “The Blades Carry Me: Inside the Helicopter War in Vietnam.” Jim flew 1,341 combat hours as a 22-year old U.S. Army Chinook helicopter pilot in Vietnam. The book honors helicopter crew contributions to aviation history and depicts the effects of war on those serving on the battlefield and their families facing challenges at home.
