Harvey Weil Professional Conservationist of the Year, Dr. Fidel Hernandez, will be our program speaker on Thursday.  Fidel Hernández is a Professor in the Department of Animal, Rangeland, and Wildlife Sciences and holds the Alfred C. Glassell, Jr., Endowed Professorship for Quail Research.

Last year he was recognized as a Fulbright Scholar, one of only two who have ever been so designated at TAMU-Kingsville. He recently spent six months in Chile trying to help the poorest of the poor in their range management practices to benefit wildlife.
