Tewes, Michael

Dr. Tewes will be our speaker at Thursday’s meeting and will present research of the jaguarundi.

Michael E. Tewes received his Ph.D. from the University of Idaho. He began working at Texas A&M University-Kingsville as a Research Associate in 1981, and and joined the faculty in 1986.  He currently holds the rank of Regents Professor and Research Scientist in the Department of Animal, Rangeland, and Wildlife Sciences and Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute, respectively. Dr. Tewes teaches Conservation Biology and conducts research in Feline Ecology.  He continues to conduct research on various cat species (e.g., ocelot, jaguarundi, bobcat, mountain lion) as part of the mission of the Feline Research Program at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute.

 NOTE:  This meeting will be held in the “Fellowship Hall” of the First United Methodist Church, 900 S. Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.  Follow signs to the Main Entrance.
