Colonel Gail E. Atkins  assumed duties as the Commander of the Corpus Christi Army Depot on July 20, 2018.  Col. Atkins is the first female commander of the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) with many years of experience from the Pentagon, Fort Knox and more.

CCAD is a United States Department of Defense Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for rotary wing aircraft. It has been a tenant of Naval Air Station Corpus Christi since 1961. The CCAD mission is to ensure aviation readiness for all service and international sales programs.
