Harvey Weil Grants

The mission of the Harvey Weil Sportsman Conservationist Award is to support research and education in the conservation of natural resources. Priority is given to those projects involving marine and wildlife species and their habitats and to issues in support of recreational hunting and fishing. Since 1998 over $1,100,000 in grant funds have been awarded.

Timeline:
Grant application available online in September
Grant application due October 13th at noon
Notice of award November/December
Funding received in the spring time at the Harvey Weil Dinner
Grant report due June 1st – a year after funds are awarded.

The deadline to submit grant applications for 2025 is October 4, 2024 at noon.  

Electronic grant submissions are accepted with the required signatures.

GRANT REPORTS

The 2024 grant report is due on June 1, 2025. Organizations are not eligible to apply for another grant if their prior grant report is past due.
