Our program speaker this week will be Uwe Leopold, Chief Executive Officer, ArcelorMittal Texas HBI. ArcelorMittal is the world’s leading steel and mining company and they acquired the Voestelpine Plant in Portland, TX.
The state-of-the-art steel plant is one of the largest of its kind in the world and yet has a very small carbon footprint. ArcelorMittal’s goal is to produce smarter steels that have a positive benefit for people and the planet. They are set to adapt to be the steel company of the future.
