February 11, 2016 Meeting

Picture1Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is home to Chief of Naval Air Training, Training Air Wing FOUR, the Corpus Christi Army Depot and other tenants. NAS Corpus Christi has supported pilot training and operations since 1941. Today, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and foreign student pilots earn their wings training in the fours squadrons of Training Air Wing FOUR, using NAS’ Truax Field and outlying airfields.

NAS also is home to the Corpus Christi Army Depot, the primary aviation depot maintenance for Department of Defense rotary wing aircraft, as well as the aviation component of Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi, and dozens of other tenant organizations.

Join us Thursday as we welcome Lieutenant Scott Beck address the club on the 75th anniversary of NAS-CC.

We were privileged to have CAPT Ty Jurica, the Commanding Officer of NAS Corpus Christi, address our club. His leadership and sense of humor while managing the extensive maintenance of NAS Corpus Christi demonstrate that it is well taken care of. CAPT Jurica also highlighted the ongoing projects at the base, including infrastructure improvements that aim to enhance operational efficiency. His dedication to fostering a supportive and innovative environment was evident, and it inspired everyone in attendance. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Flags for Heroes sponsors. Your generous support enables us to host this incredible event annually, allowing us to honor all of our local heroes. We hope that our visiting high school students from Flour Bluff and West Oso felt inspired, just as they inspired us with their accomplishments and future aspirations. ... See MoreSee Less
