District 5930 celebrates a milestone with its first Exchange Students in a while! The Rotary Club of Victoria warmly welcomes a young leader from Spain, as another outstanding Corpus Christi student embarks on a life-changing adventure through the Victoria Club. Follow their journey and discover how this program empowers our youth.The only way I let Ani be an exchange student is if she went through the Rotary Club. Only with them would I know that she is safe. From Ani’s mother ( I waited to get permission from Ani’s mom to post this) “My host parents said that Rotary called them and said that if I wanted, I could go to a different house and family in Valencia, in an area where they weren’t really affected by all the flooding and mud, for a few weeks until things got back to normal here. But they said that they want me here, they have enough food and water, and it was my choice if I wanted to go somewhere else for just a few weeks until then. She said I could have some time to decide But I said I don’t need time cuz if it’s ok I’d love to stay, I’m perfectly happy here and would love to help out with cleaning up all the mud, and That I really like them and I’m glad they want to have me here.”I’m so proud of her. I know she’ll work hard to restore her new home and community. Service and charity (the pure love of Christ) are within the cellular structure of her heart.
