October 22, 2020 Meeting

Few of us really get that 90% of everything we purchase is shipped from some part of the work and how dependent that makes us on seafarers.

A seafarer’s contract requires them to leave their family and friends for long periods of time.  The Seamen Center acts as a home-away-from-home for thousands of seafarers from all  nations annually that call on the Port of Corpus Christi.

Join us this Thursday to hear about this important organization and our project with them on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

What a fantastic Thursday meeting we just wrapped up! Our agenda was full, just the way we like it! A heartfelt thank you to our fellow Rotarian, Kathleen Clark, for sharing insights about the Alzheimer's Association, an organization that holds a special place in her heart. With over a decade of volunteering, she currently serves as the Executive Event Chair for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Her commitment to early detection and outreach truly inspires us all! We also want to extend our gratitude to the students who presented to our club today. From RYLA participants to Scouts, and including the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of Veterans Memorial High School, we were genuinely impressed by their accomplishments and their growth as leaders. ...
