Join us Thursday as we welcome Jonas Chupe, controlling and tax manager with voestalpine Texas, a 100 percent owned subsidiary of the voestalpine Group headquartered in Linz, Austria, is constructing a $740 million Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) facility that will be located at the Port of Corpus Christi’s La Quinta Trade Gateway in San Patricio County. HBI is a high-grade feedstock for the production of high-quality steel grades.

Mr. Chupe is a native of the coastal bend with several degrees from our local university and is a member of the Rotary Club of Portland.
